Scream on Stream

By installing, copying, or otherwise using this software ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by the terms of this End-User License Agreement ("Agreement"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.

1. Grant of License

Subject to the terms of this Agreement, the copyright holder grants you a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable license to:

1. install and use the Software for any lawful purpose, including commercial live-streaming; and
2. redistribute unmodified copies of the Software's installer/executable exactly as provided (for example, by hosting the installer file on your own website, blog, file-hosting page, or similar), provided that:
   • the installer/executable and its contents are not altered, repackaged, re-signed, or modified in any way;
   • no fee is charged for the Software itself;
   • the developer BLACKLINE productions is explicitly credited as the author;
   • a visible direct link to the official website (scream-on-stream.pages.dev) is included alongside the distribution;
   • this Agreement and all copyright notices, credits, and donation links included in or displayed by the Software remain fully intact and unmodified.

2. Restrictions

Except as expressly permitted in Section 3 below, you may NOT, and may not permit or assist any other person to:

1. modify, adapt, translate, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Software;
2. alter, remove, replace, obscure, or redirect any donation link, payment link, copyright notice, credit, or branding contained in or displayed by the Software;
3. create derivative works based on the Software;
4. repackage the Software's installer or executable files, or redistribute a modified copy of the Software under this or any other name;
5. circumvent or disable any part of the Software's functionality in order to monetize it separately from the original author.

3. Permitted Media Customization

As an explicit exception to Section 2, you are free to add, remove, rename, or replace video and audio files inside the Software's own media folder, located by default at:

Documents\SoS App\Media\Videos  and  Documents\SoS App\Media\Sounds

Adding, removing, or replacing files in this folder is considered normal, intended use of the Software's built-in customization feature, and is not a modification of the Software itself. No other files, folders, or application components may be modified.

4. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. The author retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all associated intellectual property rights. This Agreement does not grant you any rights to the trademarks, names, or branding of the author.

5. Third-Party Services

The Software may optionally connect to third-party services (including, without limitation, Twitch, TikTok, and tik.tools) to enable chat-voting and related features. Your use of those services is governed solely by their own terms of service, and the author is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or behavior.

6. No Warranty

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement.

7. Limitation of Liability & Termination

In no event shall the author be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the Software or the use or other dealings in the Software — including, without limitation, any damage to streaming equipment, disruption of a live broadcast, or distress caused by the Software's intended jump-scare functionality.

This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this Agreement terminate automatically, without notice, if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination you must stop using and distributing the Software and delete all copies in your possession.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kazakhstan, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
